St.Anne’s History of the school

Women are considered to be the light of the world. So, St. Anne sowed the seed of long vision to women to be an” icon”.

Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Congregation, Puducherry established this institution in the year 2016 on October 16.Like a great banyan this institution has rooted firmly for the betterment of women.

Upliftment of women is the main aim and target of this school. Now according to the need of current trend in India and in global,to face the world’s challenges our congregation felt the need to start the Central Board of Secondary Education. This initiation and the efforts were taken by the Lourdes Province, pondy-cuddalore. The dream was fulfilled and we the Immaculate sisters started officially running the first CBSE School of our Congregation at Cuddalore. The school which we started now is catering the needs of society, is not just an another school , it is life changing experience based on our vision and our mission is to give integral formation in order to instill a sense of confidence and enhance self-esteem in young minds.

Today the total strength the school has increased to 800 to educate the student, 40 teaching staff, 10 Non-teaching staff are here to educate this students. This talks in volumes about the quality of education that our school imparted to the student community women who were lucky enough to have received a quality education were more likely to be pioneers in civic activism and make history.

From 1882 till now, this institution have been giving training for lakhs of women in cuddalore district and posted the experienced, young and energetic, creative- minded teaching staff to the society to shine all over the world.

Our students shine in various fields like religion, medicine, and engineering, law in both govt. and private sectors. This brings name and fame to our school.

Women literacy Association, Cultural Program, Mock Parliament, Club activities, Communicative English and special coaching classes for NEET AND JEE etc., have been implemented in our school for the growth of the students.
